Homemade Granola

Make your own delicious homemade granola..Enjoy!
Ingredients
  • 3 cups rolled oats (name brand oats will make crunchier granola)
  • ¼ cup pure pumpkin or apple sauce
  • ¼ cup peanut butter
  • 2 TBSP honey
  • 1 TBSP vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • Add as desired:
  • ¼ cup almonds
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • ¼ cup craisins
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 F. With fork, combine and stir wet ingredients (pumpkin, peanut butter, honey, vanilla extract and cinnamon). Add 3 cups of rolled oats; mix until oats are moist and mixed well. Place parchment paper onto baking sheet. Spread granola evenly on baking sheet and cook for 10 mins.
  2. After 10 mins. remove from oven, stir granola and bake for another 10 mins. Cook additional time if necessary. Granola should be baked until a tan or light brown color is achieved, not moist and not burned. Remove and let dry completely.

¼ cup of granola is approx. 150 calories.
