Balsamic Glazed Brussel Sprouts with Red Onion

  • 1 lb of Brussel sprouts
  • 1 red onion, diced or blended
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • freshly ground pepper
  • ¼ cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • ¼ cup of balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary (or 2 tsp of dried)
  • Season to taste Mrs. DASH garlic herb blend or extra spicy blend
  • Season to taste salt-free berbere (optional)
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet with a lid over medium heat.
  2. Saute brussel sprouts with olive oil and pepper
  3. Add onion, garlic, balsamic vinegar, and rosemary seasoning to the mixture.
  4. Cover, simmer and stir occasionally until the mixture is reduced to half and brussel sprouts have turned a dark deep green color- approx. 10- 15 minutes or until tender.
  5. Toss the brussel sprouts and serve.
