Healthy Black Bean Burger protein style

Plant-based burger protein styled
Ingredients
- 2 (15oz) cans black beans, drained and rinsed
- ¾ cup uncooked old-fashioned regular rolled oats
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- ½ small onion
- 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 scallions, thinly sliced (garnish)
- 2 tbsp canola oil
- top with salsa or BBQ sauce
- lettuce, tomato slices, red onion slices
Instructions
- In your food processor, blend beans, oats, garlic, onion, soy sauce, and chili powder until smooth (about 30 seconds)
- Transfer bean mixture into a large bowl, stir in the scallions
- Heat oil in a non-stck skillet over medium-high heat. Shape your mix into 4 patties
- Cook patties until browned on each side. Place 1 patty on each lettuce leaf and top with ¼ cup of salsa. Add lettuce, tomato slices, and red onion slices and cover with lettuce leaf.
